Rafael Ramos
CTO
Rafeal joined RFID Mexico as Hardware research and development manager in 2006. Before joining the company Rafael owned and was partner of several companies including Global Information Technologies, Inmosat , and Sistemas Optimos. Most of his career has been in the hardware development and hardware - software interface fields but he has also managed key internet developments for the Mexican Government and major Mexican corporations.
Over the last 17 years Rafael has developed and managed teams for development of industrial machine control, truck and asset tracking via GPS and satellite communication, mapping software architecture, compression and optimization of data transfer and storage for satellite and GPRS communication, phonetic word separation for voice synthesis algorithms in real voice price announcement POS terminals, software interfaces for gasoline dispensing systems, 2d and 3d Direct X game engines and other confidential projects.
Early on he developed backend as well as key front end components for Latin american Microsoft website, Aeromexico and televisa's esmas.com.
Rafael handled business development and technology architecture areas for Global information technologies, and Sistemas optimos as a partner.
At RFID Mexico Rafael has developed, co-invented and overseen the development of numerous patents and products. From rfid based hardware locks to the innovative architecture behind the Itelmatic, Portomatic and ItelScanner, spanning the field form electronics to optics and software architectures. He currently oversees the development of the Software and user interface, Hardware R&D, Artificial intelligence and implementation areas

Joined IDZ in 2005. Before joining the company, Mr. Hernández was a Systems Consultant in Carrier México (a subsidiary of United Technologies Corporation) developing solutions for information interchange with Suppliers and Clients and implementing Kanban System for Inventory management and QA process for the Residential Air Conditioners Manufacturing plant. He also was in charge of the 3rd party systems migration for the Commercial Air conditioners Manufacturing plant from McMinnville, Tennessee to Garcia, Nuevo Leon.
Previously, he worked as a Systems Leader at Arsis (a Leading company in POS Solutions in México), where he was developing new projects for the company and developing POS solutions for the foreign exchange business and applications for POS in the different industries. He also developed online services for the Clients to share information from the POS solutions.
In IDZ, Mr. Hernández started as RFID Solutions Manager for the Manufacturing market and Automotive Production Control solutions, developing different solutions for Mistake Proofing Assembly and Raw materials control for the Motor and Vehicle production lines. During this period, the Mistake proofing solution was the first SW application from a Mexican company authorized by Nissan International to be installed in their production lines.
Currently, Mr. Hernández is manager of the Real Time Tracking Solutions and Tool control SW, developing SW solutions for Tool accountability and Asset Tracking from different markets, including the US Air Force. He also works in the development of Middleware solutions for Systems integration with RFID solutions.
Mr. Hernández holds a BS in Computer Systems Engineering (ISC'99) from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM). With 12 years of experience working in SW solutions, he is also a Certified PMP (Project Manager Professional, from the Project Management Institute) and a RFID+ Certified Professional from CompTIA organization, with training in TRIZ (Theory of Inventive Problem Solving).

Joined RFID Mexico (IDZ) Software division in 2005 . Mr. Beltrán has leaded the creation of Innovative Solutions for Distribution and Logistics applications using cutting-edge technology including RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) and Artificial intelligence for solving complex and dynamic operations in high-demanding environments in distribution centers, warehouses, storage areas and enterprise’s yards. These solutions have been successfully implemented along North America and Europe.
Mr. Beltrán holds a Master Degree in Electronic Commerce (MCE'02) from the Tecnologico de Monterrey (ITESM) and a BS in Computer Management Systems (LSCA'99) also from the Tecnologico de Monterrey. He has an Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation Certificate from the Office of Government Commerce (OGC) of the UK and has taken several trainings in Project Management, RFID, Information Technologies and TRIZ (Theory of Inventive Problem Solving).
Before joining IDZ, Mr. Beltrán was a system consultant supporting the development of technology solutions for industries like logistics, transportation and Educational for companies such as Tecnologico de Monterrey, FEMSA, IMSA, CEMEX, Synclair and Rush Mexico, among others.
