Adalberto Terán Matus
CEO
Adalberto Teran has held Manager and Director positions for more than 10 years in different industries including Automotive, Hard-lines, Aerospace and Technology. He has also spent more than 15 years leading more than 70 projects for those industries, actively participating directly in the creation of intellectual property as inventor with one patent already granted by the USPTO and more than 8 files for new patents for Radio frequency identification technology, Artificial Intelligence, Logistics and Cutting-Edge technology for the Aerospace Industry; some of these inventions are currently used in the United States Air Force for reducing aircraft accidents and making airplane maintenance more efficient. He joined the Guard Group (parent company of IDZ) in 2000 where he has developed a career as IS Director, Technology Director at The Rooster Group (a global leader corporation worldwide in its area), Chief Technology Officer at IDZ and Chief Executive Officer at IDZ as well.
During these years, he led Technology Development Projects for Distribution Centers and Factories who are leading vendors for Wal-Mart, Sears-Kmart, Home Depot, Lowes, Menards, among others. These clients not only recognized the technology improvements as a results of these developments but also implanted some of the recommendations made directly by Adelberto to their senior managers during yearly Technology Forums in their own companies.
Adalberto was an active member of the Data Synchronization Committee in the USA, representing global Factories and Distribution Centers for the Hard-lines industry by defining the information that should be synchronized across the different players in the supply chain.
Héctor Gómez Macfarland, PhD
VP of Sales, Marketing and Business Development
Hector has more than 15 years of experience in the Telecommunication and IT business world. At IDZ, Hector is responsible for the sales, marketing and business development. Before joining IDZ, Hector served as a business development manager at the Gard Corporación, a diversified group of companies serving the domestic and international markets, in Monterrey, Mexico. Before joining the Gard Corporación, Hector worked as a Strategic Planning, B2B Marketing, and Business Development Manager at AT&T. Hector also has more than 13 years as a part time business professor for universities such as ITESM in Monterrey, Mexico, Universidad Del Espiritu Santo y ESPOL in Ecuador, Universidad de Managua in Nicaragua, and Thunderbird University in Phoenix, AZ, among others; and as marketing and sales trainer for different companies such as Coca-Cola Femsa, Sony, Avon, Volkswagen Mexico, Cemex Panama and Mexico, and Cervecería Cuahutemoc- Moctezuma.
Hector holds a Ph.D in Marketing and a Masters in Management from A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University, and a MBA and electronic and telecommunication engineering degrees from the Monterrey Institute of Technology (ITESM at Monterrey).
Rafael Ramos
CTO
Rafeal joined RFID Mexico as Hardware research and development manager in 2006. Before joining the company Rafael owned and was partner of several companies including Global Information Technologies, Inmosat , and Sistemas Optimos. Most of his career has been in the hardware development and hardware - software interface fields but he has also managed key internet developments for the Mexican Government and major Mexican corporations.
Over the last 17 years Rafael has developed and managed teams for development of industrial machine control, truck and asset tracking via GPS and satellite communication, mapping software architecture, compression and optimization of data transfer and storage for satellite and GPRS communication, phonetic word separation for voice synthesis algorithms in real voice price announcement POS terminals, software interfaces for gasoline dispensing systems, 2d and 3d Direct X game engines and other confidential projects.
Early on he developed backend as well as key front end components for Latin american Microsoft website, Aeromexico and televisa's esmas.com.
Rafael handled business development and technology architecture areas for Global information technologies, and Sistemas optimos as a partner.
At RFID Mexico Rafael has developed, co-invented and overseen the development of numerous patents and products. From rfid based hardware locks to the innovative architecture behind the Itelmatic, Portomatic and ItelScanner, spanning the field form electronics to optics and software architectures. He currently oversees the development of the Software and user interface, Hardware R&D, Artificial intelligence and implementation areas.
Eduardo Ruiz Esparza Flores, PhD
President
Eduardo Ruiz joined the IDZ team as President in 2008. Prior to joining the company, Eduardo served as Chairman of Mexico’s Technology Chamber and worked in the management consulting industry for Worldwide Innovation Network. In addition to his current role at IDZ, Eduardo is also the Vice President of Strategy and Innovation for Gard Corporation, as Vice President of Concamin, and as a Board Member of Consejo Economico Distrito Federal.
Over the last twenty years, Eduardo has acquired significant experience in the Computer Software, Management Consulting, Government Relations, and Telecommunications industries. His experience has involved promoting and defending initiatives that contribute to Mexico’s industry - vis a vis the government, innovative new product development, as well as overall strategy and finance.
Eduardo earned a Bachelor’s in Mechanical and Administrative Engineering in 1974 from ITESM as an Honors Graduate. He later earned his Masters of Science in Industrial Engineering from U.C. Berkeley in 1976. In addition, Eduardo hold a Masters of Science in Applied Math from T.U. Karlsruhe where he also studied marketing and finance in Karlsruhe, Germany. In 1980, Eduardo went on to achieve his PhD in Operations Research from U.C. Berkeley and Standford, while also continuing his studies of marketing and finance. In 1994, he completed his CEO Executive MBA from AD-2-IPADE and has also completed seminars and courses in negotiation, innovation, finance, marketing, and strategy at numerous prestigious universities.
Carlos Sada Gonzales
Financial and Administration Director
Prior to joining IDZ, Carlos spent 10 years as a General Director in Almacenadora Comercial America, one of the largest warehouses in Mexico. Carlos was successful in opening two offices with more than 300% growth in terms of storage capacity. In addition, he was a leader in the implementation of ISO 9002 and the implementation of the distribution service to customers. He was also a Corporate Banking Executive at Banco Nacional de Mexico for 10 years where he achieved operating a loan portfolio exceeding $150 million - one of the largest nationwide.
